Welcome to the first episode of Perfect PR. In this episode I kick off the podcast sharing with you my story. I started out my career as a journalist, working in Sydney in a fast-paced news cycle environment, before I moved into regional Television where I spent 3 years covering everything from the drought, floods, fires, locust plagues and country music festivals. I then moved into the political world where I dabbled in and out for over a decade, I joined the Australian Defence Force along the way, and in 2013 I set up my own Public Relations, Media Training and Public Speaking Agency in Newcastle, Australia. Whilst I enjoy working closely with clients and seeing them grow their business in the media, what I love even more is showing people how they can do their own Public Relations. This is what this Perfect PR Podcast is all about. I’ve spent over two decades in the media and public relations industry and made many mistakes along the way which I will share, and you’ll become equipped with the strategies that have grown hundreds of other businesses.
